Abstract: Thromboelastography(TEG)provides a real-time assessment of viscoelastic clot strength in whole blood. It has been used widely in trauma, liver transplantation, pediatrics and so on.There is some evidence that these algorithms could reduce transfusions and improve clinical outcome but more study is needed.
